We collect only the information necessary to provide bill tracking services: bill due dates, payment amounts, and account names. This data is obtained through Plaid integration for connected accounts, Apple's FinanceKit for Apple Card information, and custom web scrapers for utility providers. For accounts connected via custom scrapers, we also store your login credentials (username and password) securely encrypted on our backend. We do not collect unnecessary personal information or financial data beyond what's required for bill tracking.
Your data serves three core purposes: tracking bill payment due dates, sending timely payment reminders, and generating financial insights to help you understand your payment patterns. We never use your data for advertising, marketing to third parties, or any purpose beyond improving your bill tracking experience.
For Apple Card users, we utilize Apple's FinanceKit framework with read-only access to retrieve your current balance and payment due dates. We do not access your complete transaction history—only the information related to billing cycles and payment deadlines. This limited access ensures we can provide accurate reminders while respecting your privacy.
All data is encrypted both in transit and at rest on our secure backend infrastructure hosted on Railway. We implement industry-standard security practices including encryption, secure authentication, and regular security audits. Your financial information is never shared with third parties for marketing purposes, and we will never sell your data under any circumstances.
We use Plaid to securely connect to your bank accounts and credit cards. Plaid is a trusted financial services platform that maintains its own comprehensive privacy policy and security standards. When you connect an account through Plaid, you are also agreeing to their terms of service and privacy policy. We recommend reviewing Plaid's privacy policy to understand how they handle your data.
For utility companies and service providers that are not supported by Plaid, we may use custom-built web scrapers to retrieve your bill information. When you choose to connect these accounts, you provide your login credentials (username and password), which are securely encrypted and stored on our backend. These credentials are used solely to access your account on your behalf to retrieve due dates and payment amounts. We implement industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your stored credentials. You can revoke access and delete saved credentials at any time from the app settings.
You maintain complete control over your data. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly from the app settings. You can also revoke access to connected accounts through Plaid, FinanceKit, or custom web scrapers at your discretion. When you disconnect an account that uses saved credentials, those credentials are immediately deleted from our systems. Upon account deletion, all your data, including any saved login credentials, is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
